Setting Up a Charity

Setting up a charity

Introduction

Are you thinking of setting up a charity? Then read my eBook “Setting up a charity,” which will help you decide. Then ask yourself the following questions to check your passion before setting up your charity.

  • What is a charity?
  • Why do you need charity?
  • What are the things you need to set up a charity?
  • Will that be of any help to the people around you?
  • Will you be able to fulfill your passion by setting up this charity?

If you can find answers to these questions and are happy with them, start a charity.

Let me tell you about my experience with charities. I worked for charities for 32 years in the charity accounting sector, but I got involved with other things, mainly fundraising work and activities. I worked for a law center. It closed because of the challenges made to the local council by the lawyers in the charity regarding housing. The lawyers just wanted to help the residents with housing issues.

I was involved with many varieties of charities, then I worked for charities helping women fleeing domestic violence, and I witnessed many women go through hard times with some men. The charity helped those women to get accommodation, schooling, and other facilities to relieve them from the severe effect they got from domestic violence.

Therefore, charities help people who suffer in their life for various reasons. Besides, it is a safety net for kids and women who face family problems.

I liked working for charities in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but the only issue that put charities in trouble was funding. It was so hard to get funding unless the charity received the support of the local government funding. Some charities run without funding from funders; I explained how to set up a charity without money in this eBook. Therefore, if you have a passion, you can do it to help people.

I hope that you will like this eBook if you have a passion for doing charitable work
