When you talk to them, ensure you are paying 100% attention to the communication. In any of our relationships, the link will not be good enough without communication. Teaching to manage money is vital, as mismanagement of funds can cause problems. Many of us, even as adults, don’t know a lot about money management. The first thing you can introduce your teen to, and maybe even yourself to do, is track where your money goes. How often have you asked, “Where did I spend all that money?” If you have ever wondered that then tracking your money can give you great insight into managing your budget better
A parent should not lose their mind.
Last but not least, as a parent, do not ever lose your mind when dealing with your teen. Parenting teens are no easy task. You might find some issues with your teen and not controllable, and do not feel worthless and helpless. Take your time, make your decision calm, and put a steady hand on your teen’s shoulder.
