Introduction

I am Vathani Ariyam, author of this eBook, “Parenting Elegances” As you all know, there are few parenting styles. But in this eBook, I only concentrate on controlling parents and the effects on the kids. A father from an underprivileged family becomes successful and expects his kids to grow successful. That shows the care and interest in the family and how he is committed to his family. Then he became so controlling and wanted to make sure that his children walked along his path to achieve success.

That said, all the appreciation about the dad now focuses on the child’s well-being, who has an authoritarian parent. The controlling attitude, in general, proves if someone is controlled by another person, that shows the person is not trustworthy. It also applies to the kids, which leads to losing self-esteem at a very young age. All kids are not the same; some become successful, whereas others are at a later stage in their life. Therefore we cannot force them to do what we want. What we can do with the kids is motivate them to show love and affection. Sometimes successful men do not know how to explain their love and devotion to their kids. As a result, they take the wrong path because they believe what they do for the kids is entirely correct. In the end, the kids will lose their self-esteem and lack of confidence. That will stop them from becoming successful. As parents, we have to give our kids some freedom to make their choices. If not that there could be a possibility that you will lose your child permanently.
