What made me fall in love with business?
The start of my entrepreneurial life
Let me introduce myself first; I am a mother and grandmother, and I have been employed as an accountant for a long time. I have invested in myself continually, as there will be changes in any industry for a long time. My past jobs all involved intensive use of computers, but it involved working with various accounting, payroll packages, and Excel in producing worksheets. In 2014, for some reason, I started to learn to create websites, and from there on, I got into internet marketing. I am still working towards achieving the best and working hard towards my goal, as I love this industry.
About my working life
I call myself a pensioner according to my age and receive a monthly state pension. However, I never considered myself a pensioner because I worked much harder than during my office work. I worked for charities, and only now do I realize charities are comfortable places to work for people who could be more ambitious to progress. When they start to work for charities, they get to stay in their comfort zone and are reluctant to move away. That makes them lose all their self-confidence to find other opportunities.
When you talk to some employees, they take it as a joke and never even listen to the options available. The main reason is to get a monthly salary and stay in your comfort zone. They also never consider investing in themselves to acquire knowledge and self-confidence. THAT ALSO INCLUDES ME when I keep talking about staying in my comfort zone with no progression.
Long-time jobs with charities.
Most charities cannot serve for long because of funding issues. As a result, lots of
uncertainty is there for the employees. However, most are aware of it and only worry once they face losing a job, like closing the entire charity. Or make some of the staff redundant. I regret working for charities for a long time. I worked for 35 years and feel I have wasted my life. I can work harder and be more intelligent. However, those lazy jobs will help you if you must spend quality time with your kids. Therefore, I always paid attention to my kids. If you were working for companies where you can achieve great success and have kids, you need support from your partner. So, I was keen on bringing up my kids so they would get all the necessary things like education, proper health, and quality time with their parents. Some collaborate if they have not done well in life; they do not want their partners to do better than them. Your life becomes complicated, and you must give up on prosperity.
I looked for various opportunities.
Even though I was working for various charities, I always wanted to prosper from something that I could do from home. My weakness was that I had the desire to take actions incorrectly, and I needed more planning and research. One of the reasons when you try to do something is that you need someone trustworthy to talk about to get more ideas. I never had anyone like that; I do not have one today. The people around me always took my ventures as a joke and many other issues. They do not also ask me what I am doing. My current projects are accounting work; I actively maintain three blogs for business advice and coaching sessions.
Moreover, I am creating online courses for business advice, accounting, and self-care and writing eBooks on these three topics. I have written one hundred fifty eBooks and some books, created forty-five online courses, and done all the marketing work for these three projects, such as social media promotions, hosting webinars, and creating weekly videos. My happiness is staying in my business and not leaving it.
I work so hard on these projects because I love them too much. Besides, I never feel exhausted or depressed about my work. I do not go out to work, but I have an issue. I need to communicate more with people in this industry, so I have decided to find influencers and start interacting with them.
Anyone in this industry should never stay indoors because you will not find it. Anyone sharing knowledge becomes the most significant disadvantage, as bringing your expertise to the world is crucial. I am very ambitious to get my knowledge out to the world; if not, the purpose will be lost. Also, the people will only trust you and your work if you have the recognition in your industry and build your authority. I am determined to become a successful entrepreneur and leave a legacy for my future generation and society.
